Key was lost, an attempt was made to drill it and
therefore be able to open the door and when that
failed, out came the big hammer.
As you can see, it was a bit of a mess.
A new case was made, from solid aluminium, the
lock had new leaves and 3 keys supplied, the plate
was straitened and fettled and some new/old
handles were fitted, to keep the look of the period.
Primed, ready for installation and painting.
I even fitted Whitworth slotted screws, to keep it as
authentic as possible.
